Monthly Blog #6

Hey Everyone, For those who have noticed one of the blog pages, there is a change with the background, which is just a test right now. I do plan to make small changes like better backgrounds down the line, but for now I simply had to measure what size the background is. There might be other small changes as I get the hang of using this blog site as there does seem to be a bit of a learning curve when it comes to this place. One thing I do hope to get better at is keeping better up to date with posts on the other pages (the game reviews and fiction stories). Speaking of the fiction stories, there is one type of idea I do plan to test later on that will be along the lines of a fictional blog story. I'm not sure how I'll organize this as I do want to get through some more of the current writings I have going on. If I don't make any update on this point by the end of the year (which I hope is enough time to consider the idea), it's best to assume that the idea is put on ho...

Monthly Blog #5

Hey Everyone, So, to start with, as I'm sure for anyone who follows this blog through the direct link I have attached to a few different sites, they've noticed a bit of a change. That is now from a main hub section that directs to here and to a new blog specific to game reviews with the addition to links to my youtube and reddit account for anyone interested and vise-versa. Looking back onto my writing, I have made a little more progress than in the month before, reaching 28.5k words. A few events have taken place in the story since then, but for now I have had the need to go back and add in a few important sections I've forgotten about. With the changes I've been making that's been mentioned in the previous paragraph, I will still do what I can to maintain my writing pace so not to miss out on keeping my intended publication schedule, though that's doubtful I will as the third book that will be published this year is already finished, giving me a year at least...

Monthly Blog #4

Hey everyone, To start, happy new year!! Since last month, I've just past the 16k word count for the final Tale of Ælfric series. Though 10.5k words isn't too bad, it isn't as good a monthly word count as it once was (last year, which was at least 15k words a month) and I would like to improve upon this more. I hope I can double the word count eventually as I do hope to get the final manuscript done by the end of summer, maybe mid-fall if possible. As to the short story I said I've written, I plan to have the rough draft to the novel version of this finished sometime by mid next year. I mostly need to figure out which pieces must be expanded upon, most of which I already know, so it'll be the more minor points throughout the story. I hope everyone can have a good year (though some points clearly aren't that good). T.R. Infanger

Monthly Blog #3

Hey Everyone, I know I'm making this post two days early for a monthly blog. I have made some more progress for the Tale of Ælfric series and, in doing so, I found the series might have one book left to go rather than the two I said in the last post. I say this with slight hesitation as there are events I'd like to see written that will help reach the ending I have decided on. If this assumption on my part is correct that this will be the final book in the series, it will be longer than the previous books so far. Given how short the books have turned out so far, I doubt this will be any problem. Where book two and three are 60k words each, I expect the final to be closer to 100k-120k words to wrap up the story. As of right now, this is the most I can say for the series, I'm only 5,500 words into the book right now so there is more than enough room for large changes to occur I did not expect by this point. Monthly Blog #2

Hey Everyone, To start with, I have exhausted the resources for sending in this short story of mine, so it looks like it'll become a book, likely a short one, which I'll publish some time after the Tale of Ælfric series comes to and end. While it does sadden me a bit to know that it wasn't accepted, I'm, in a way, excited to make it into a book. The idea itself is inspired by the book series Little Fuzzy by H. Beam Piper, and is the kind of idea which could be expanded into a series if I work out the sequel books correct. As to the Tale of Ælfric series itself, I'm coming with it slowly. It's just taking a little longer right now as I place more of my focus into my final two classes. After the classes end, I'll be able to place a greater emphasis on my writing, which I'll be able to finish the rough draft to the last two books by the end of next year at the lasted (I hope). The fourth book in the series may see a little difficulty as I do know how I...

Monthly Blog #1

Hey Everyone, This is a new way I plan to have my blog as. It's seems to make the most sense now as a weekly blog didn't have enough to maintain for too much longer, if there was a 'too much longer' for it anyway. A monthly blog at the start of each month would give hope for information to be brought up more frequently in each blog. To start with, the short story hasn't had any success in being accepted into a magazine yet, currently waiting on my final option. If this final option doesn't work out, I'll revisit the story at a later date to work on it more. I've even considered that it could be turned into a full length book regardless of the results. Though I haven't figured out what points to expand on specifically, I do believe the option is there. I can't say how much I've written about this already for the Tale of Ælfric, I think two books remain before the story is complete. Though a third book wouldn't shock me, I wouldn't thi...

Weekly Log #19

Hey everyone, I know it's been some time since the last log, it's simply from the lack of detail to bring up in them, which was already brought up a few times before. Safe to say, I have been making progress still in the Tale of Ælfric series. The third book is just about wrapped up; it's a minor character's name and the book's cover that must be finished before it can qualify as finished. Though this is the main things left, I have begun the fourth book in the series in the mean time as I think of the name (the cover art easy enough for me to make). I have been thinking over the story some more in the time between finishing up the last edits I worked on and today: I think it's possible the series will have two more books to write after the third book before the series is finished. And, since I considered finishing thr rough draft of these last books before working on the edits, I should have these rough drafts finished by the end of next year at the latest, ma...
