Monthly Blog #3

Hey Everyone, I know I'm making this post two days early for a monthly blog. I have made some more progress for the Tale of Ælfric series and, in doing so, I found the series might have one book left to go rather than the two I said in the last post. I say this with slight hesitation as there are events I'd like to see written that will help reach the ending I have decided on. If this assumption on my part is correct that this will be the final book in the series, it will be longer than the previous books so far. Given how short the books have turned out so far, I doubt this will be any problem. Where book two and three are 60k words each, I expect the final to be closer to 100k-120k words to wrap up the story. As of right now, this is the most I can say for the series, I'm only 5,500 words into the book right now so there is more than enough room for large changes to occur I did not expect by this point. Monthly Blog #2

Hey Everyone, To start with, I have exhausted the resources for sending in this short story of mine, so it looks like it'll become a book, likely a short one, which I'll publish some time after the Tale of Ælfric series comes to and end. While it does sadden me a bit to know that it wasn't accepted, I'm, in a way, excited to make it into a book. The idea itself is inspired by the book series Little Fuzzy by H. Beam Piper, and is the kind of idea which could be expanded into a series if I work out the sequel books correct. As to the Tale of Ælfric series itself, I'm coming with it slowly. It's just taking a little longer right now as I place more of my focus into my final two classes. After the classes end, I'll be able to place a greater emphasis on my writing, which I'll be able to finish the rough draft to the last two books by the end of next year at the lasted (I hope). The fourth book in the series may see a little difficulty as I do know how I...

Monthly Blog #1

Hey Everyone, This is a new way I plan to have my blog as. It's seems to make the most sense now as a weekly blog didn't have enough to maintain for too much longer, if there was a 'too much longer' for it anyway. A monthly blog at the start of each month would give hope for information to be brought up more frequently in each blog. To start with, the short story hasn't had any success in being accepted into a magazine yet, currently waiting on my final option. If this final option doesn't work out, I'll revisit the story at a later date to work on it more. I've even considered that it could be turned into a full length book regardless of the results. Though I haven't figured out what points to expand on specifically, I do believe the option is there. I can't say how much I've written about this already for the Tale of Ælfric, I think two books remain before the story is complete. Though a third book wouldn't shock me, I wouldn't thi...

Weekly Log #19

Hey everyone, I know it's been some time since the last log, it's simply from the lack of detail to bring up in them, which was already brought up a few times before. Safe to say, I have been making progress still in the Tale of Ælfric series. The third book is just about wrapped up; it's a minor character's name and the book's cover that must be finished before it can qualify as finished. Though this is the main things left, I have begun the fourth book in the series in the mean time as I think of the name (the cover art easy enough for me to make). I have been thinking over the story some more in the time between finishing up the last edits I worked on and today: I think it's possible the series will have two more books to write after the third book before the series is finished. And, since I considered finishing thr rough draft of these last books before working on the edits, I should have these rough drafts finished by the end of next year at the latest, ma...

Weekly Log #18

Hey Everyone, By now, this seems like to be a regular routine where I forget a weekly log every now and again. There's still no news on the short story I've submitted, which an answer should be coming in any day now. I'm about finished with the final edits to the Tale of Ælfric series and should start the fourth book soon enough. I wish there is something more I could mention here, sadly, there isn't. I do have other writing projects to see to, though I don't expect to see the novel length works near published until after the Ælfric series is completed. T.R. Infanger

weekly Log #17

Hey everyone, Sorry about the day delay in this weekly log, I simply forgot about it yesterday. It's been a slow time with progress on the third book, I know, so it's not that surprising if I'm able to miss one or two weeks every now and again until I begin the fourth book. I've been thinking a little and, well, it might be best if the rest of the books, however many there are, have their rough drafts finished first then the edits take place afterwards. I can't say how many books there are left, I would hope there's two or three left, making it a year left of writing if I focus on the rough drafts themselves. As to the short story, it's still a waiting game for a response. I just checked the status page of it as I am writing this to find that it's still in the open phase. As it has passed the two month mark only four days ago (the expected minimum for a response), I don' think there would be one just yet, likely another two weeks if a guess had to b...

Delayed Addition to Log #16

Hey Everyone, I've been thinking this over for the past few days now about the Tale of Ælfric series. This is no definite thing for the series, but one I am toying with. The idea is, when the series is complete, there will be the edition to the books that's a complete collection of each book in a single cover. No clue if this is final as I'll have a few more years before coming to a definite answer. T.R. Infanger
